The Irish Times

Ryker reading The Irish Times in front of the fireplace, a typical Dublin activity for Sunday morning.

Keelin Dressing Up

These dresses were from Avo.

Bathing Beauties

Keelin and Ryker took a bath together.

Two Teeth

Ryker has two teeth on the bottom now. I think the top ones will be in soon.

First Bike

Andrew put Ryker on his first bicycle. Here he is in the backyard in Dublin. We pushed him from behind and went to the store with Ryker riding along. He had a huge grin on his face and everyone pointed out how cute he looked. One little girl ran up and kissed him on the cheek.

Of course, he particularly loved eating the tassels.

Brother and Sister!

Keelin and Ryker had lots of fun together. She liked to push his stroller, help feed and change him. They took a bath together and played with the rubber duckies too.

Playing Dress Up

I brought lots of dress up things for Keelin to play with, some of them were from my mom, "Avo." Keelin had loads of fun dressing up as a princess. She made all of us dress up. Daddy wore a bridal veil, I had a tiara and Ryker got the works: tutu, fairy wings and a flower head band.

Dublin Swing

Ryker and I just returned from two weeks in Dublin. There are lots of great parks for kids in Ireland. The weather was warm and mild. The daffodils and crocuses are already up!

Dublin

We arrived in Dublin on Saturday morning after a very LONG flight. Ryker had a stomach bug last week which wasn't gone by the time we were flying. He was overtired as well. He slept little on the plane and then only in my lap. I didn't sleep at all. It was fun, lots of fun. I had a bit of a chest cold which I then proceeded to give him. His tummy troubles got worse. In addition, he's teething, has jet lag, hasn't held anything down for days. Poor kid. Ryker hasn't been "happy baby" for about a week now. Thank God it seems to have turned around this morning.

Ryker is a "Little Fin"

Ryker began swim classes with the British Swim School. Other than getting too cold, he seemed to like it. Jay, the instructor, would demonstrate with a doll and then we copied him as best we could. He was really good about putting his head under water. He even floated on his back with the little innertube.

First Tooth

Marilu told me that there was a surprise for me when I got home from work. Ryker's first tooth finally poked through! You can't really see it, but you can feel it when you run your finger along his lower gum.
