Two Year Check Up

Marilu and I took Ryker to Dr. Sepe for his check-up. The stats are: 35 1/2 inches tall (75%) and 26 lbs (25%) and head is 49 cm (this last one means nothing to me). However, based on his current height - presuming he continues along this path - he should be about 5' 10". That would be nice considering Andrew and I are both pretty short...

As far as his development goes, his vocabularly is easily over 100 words but we haven't counted them. I'd guess that 70% are in Spanish, the rest English. Spanish is just easier to pronounce. He understands both equally. He runs, jumps, climbs, kicks balls, up/down steps, colors, stacks blocks, follows 2 step commands, is pretty much toilet trained (we're down to underpants and pull ups only at night). There are still accidents, but only every several days.

He has definitely discovered the word "NO!" and the associated bad attitude but pretty much only when he's tired or hungry so by addressing those issues, it is possible to quickly end the tantrum. He'll tell me when he's hungry (rubbing his tummy and saying "yum" and going to his chair) or tired (grab my hand and take me to his bed and say "night night").

He loves books, cars, trains, balls, his tricycle and firetruck scooter. His favorites at the park are the swing, rope ladders, slide and firetruck. It is almost impossible to get him out of the water - sprinkler, sink, bath, pool, creek, puddle - you name it!
